Horacio Jones brings with him years of experience in the music, audio, and video worlds. Horacio began playing the guitar when he was 13 and studied classical guitar with Stanley Yates and Tom Johnson. He received his Bachelor of Music in music composition from the University of North Texas College of Music, which is acclaimed for its electronic music department. Having access to the College's sophisticated equipment and software offered Horacio advanced training in electronic music composition. He has played with a variety of ensembles including the North Texas Guitar Ensemble and the UCSD Guitar Ensemble. One of his main passions is contemporary Latin American pieces for solo guitar.

During his senior year at UNT, Horacio began working as a video editor and Master Control Room Operator for American Independent Network. There he learned to operate all of the equipment necessary to make films, and commercials including editing and camera techniques. Horacio has worked as an Instructional Technology Specialist at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Ft. Worth, as a Video Editor/Compressionist for the UCSD School of Medicine, and is now currently a freelance filmmaker/editor in San Diego shooting, directing, and producing documentaries, event videos, and music videos.

This year, he had his first documentary “Live at Open Mic,” aired on KPBS and is now directing an exciting documentary on neighbor disputes in San Diego and another documentary entitled "Perfect Society," which examines social issues in America. Additionally, Horacio is developing his first feature film and working on a new reality series with a twist called "Relationship Quarterbacks."
