The Israel Maldonado Band presents an impressive set of sensuous
dance rhythms that set you body into motion. A punch of reggae
beats are accented by an interplay of hypnotic Latin melodies,
Cuban dance riffs and slow jazz tempos. Israel and his guitar
take center stage, while his solos dance playfully and seductively
through the rich instrumentals laid down by his band. This music,
affluent with both Cuban and Brazilian influences, posses a
silky smooth romanticism and fiery, funky Latin vibration that
excites and yet soothes the soul in all of us.
Israel's band is made up of world-class musicians that weave
melodies and rhythms in and around Israel's songs ... Davey
Carrano's (Plump) bass bounces between chest pounding bossa
lines to off the wall solos, never losing track of Chad Farran's
(Superunloader) steady backbeat and synchronized Brazilian flavors.
It's been said no two shoes are ever alike primarily due to
the fact there is a revolving cast of characters that grace
the stage with IMB, musicians such as, Dante Loaiza (Agua Dulce),
Quino (Big Mountain) and Chuck Prada (Black Eyed Peas and Robert
Walters 20th Congress) have been known to sit in with the band,
not just for a song, but for the night!
Israel's guitar work is never short of amazing, blending Cuban
lines with classical melodies and Brazilian rhythms, while his
singing captivates the audience with Spanish, Portuguese and
English lyrics. His exceptional vocal range and unique delivery
of vocal patterns are guaranteed to excite and enhance your
senses.
Having toured with the group Agua Dulce for two years and playing
with numerous groups like Sambrasil, Sol e Mar, Novamenco and
Quino, Israel has seen first hand what people want to see and
hear in a show and that is non-stop entertainment. He has arranged
some of the most dynamic and balanced music to come out of the
Southlands of California in sometime.
